Membership of Weightlifting Tasmania

A new ruling of the Board of Weightlifting Tasmania states that new participants in the sport of Weightlifting are not required to become members of Weightlifting Tasmania for their first TWO competitions. New participants need only pay the appropriate competition entry fee (which is $10 on this occasion). However, all persons who have been previously a member of Weightlifting Tasmania or any other State Weightlifting Association, or any new participant who has already completed TWO competitions, has only two options to be entitled to lift:

  • (1) Become a member of Weightlifting Tasmania ($75 membership fee) and pay normal competition entry fee, or;
  • (2) Compete as a guest lifter ($40 per competition).
