Under the World Anti-Doping Code’s new International Standard for Education, which came into effect on 1 January 2021, the Australian Weightlifting Fderation is required to ensure that Australian weightlifters and support personnel receive anti-doping education.
Accordingly, members of Weightlifting Tasmania must now be aware that if you intend to compete at State Championship level, or to compete in the AWF Under 23 Championships or higher, you are required to receive anti-doping education provided by Sport Integrity Australia (SIA).
Furthermore, Weightlifting Tasmania encourages all members who are club level athletes or coaches to also undertake anti-doping education to promote Weightlifting as a clean sport and to reduce the risk of inadvertent doping.
If you are an athlete, a coach, or athlete support personnel, this is what applies to you:

The Sport Integrity Australia eLearning system will generate a digital badge for each course you successfully complete. You can download a certificate that will display all the badges you have earned signifying the courses you have completed. This certificate should be emailed to email: office@weightliftingtas.com to confirm completion of courses.
Please undertake this onine education at your earliest convenience to avoid disappointment later.
