Information Bulletin from AWF - 15 November 2019
The final round of the 2019 Presidents Cup will take place at the Weightlifting Academy of Tasmania / Align Fitness, 110 Mornington Road, Mornington, Hobart. This event will be followed by the Annual Awards function of Weightlifting Tasmania Inc. which will take place at the Motor Yacht Club of Tasmania, 1 Ford Street, Lindisfarne, Hobart.
The AWF Board of Directors met on Monday September 30, 2019. The following is a summary of outcomes from that meeting, and additional information for members.
The AWF has introduced a minimum age of 13 years to compete in AWF-sanctioned events. The AWF Board of Directors has approved a transitional period for the application of this regulation in response to requests from State Members who have already received entries from children for events that are scheduled to be held in 2019.
The Australian Open will commence on 7th February 2020 - location not yet confirmed.
Presidents Cup Round 6 (the "Split Round") takes place in Hobart and Launceston on Saturday 7 September. Entry deadline is Friday 23 August at 11:00pm. Information about this event is now available.
